Dean's fascination with acting began at the tender age of five, when his father, a 'Unit driver' on production sets, would take him to work and Dean would discover his passion for the craft. This epiphany sparked a desire within him to pursue a career in acting, and his parents soon enrolled him in The Anna Scher theater.
Five years later, Dean's hard work and dedication paid off when he secured a place at the esteemed institution. Within his first year, he landed a role in the popular TV show "The Bill", marking the beginning of a long and illustrious career.
Over the next twelve years, Dean continued to hone his craft, taking on numerous roles in both TV and film, including parts in notable movies such as "Snatch" and "Ali-G Indahouse". The majority of his roles, however, came from his recurring appearances in "The Bill".
Dean's talent and versatility almost landed him a core role in a new Mad Max production, although the project has since been put on hold due to various reasons.
In 2006, Dean made the decision to put his acting career on hold to pursue a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours. To achieve this, he enrolled in an access to performance course at college, followed by a B.A in Film & T.V Studies at Brunel University, Uxbridge, between 2007 and 2009.
