The individual's inaugural feature film, "The Severed Sun", stands as a remarkable showcase of their artistic prowess, having undergone development through the prestigious iFeatures program, a collaborative endeavour between BBC Films, Creative England, and the esteemed British Film Institute, with financial backing provided by Screen Cornwall and sales support courtesy of MPI Media.
Puckett's short films have achieved widespread acclaim, captivating audiences at numerous international film festivals and garnering a substantial collection of prestigious awards and Vimeo Staff picks.
Notably, THE SERMON, a project funded by Creative England and the British Film Institute, has stood out among Puckett's body of work, being selected for esteemed festivals such as the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, the BFI Flare: London LGBTQ+ Film Festival, the Overlook Film Festival, the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, and the Hollyshorts Film Festival.
Noteworthy achievements include a prestigious award at the Straight8 competition for the film SATAN'S BITE, which has also garnered recent recognition by being selected for prominent festivals such as FrightFest and Encounters Film Festival, with the latter showcasing THE DEVIL'S FOOTPRINTS.
Puckett is diligently refining his creative skills, concurrently cultivating a diverse array of feature film projects, including a vampire-themed movie, AGULL, in partnership with BFI NETWORK, alongside Rebecca Wolff and Early Day Films, the production company behind the critically acclaimed film BAIT.
