Debra Burton was born in the vibrant city of Manchester, England, where she was one of five children, consisting of three sisters and a brother. She was the loving daughter of Jules Burton and Gwennie Burton, who undoubtedly played a significant role in her early life and development.
As she entered adulthood, Debra attended Manchester University at the age of eighteen to pursue her passion for drama. She diligently worked towards her degree, which she successfully completed at the age of twenty-one. During this time, she also met her future husband, Steven Tucker, who was the Director of Europarks.
Debra's professional career began with live events, such as pantomimes and circuses, before she landed her breakthrough role as Abigale in the production of The Crusible. This marked the beginning of her journey in fringe theater and professional theater, where she continued to hone her craft and gain recognition.
Although she primarily focused on theater, Debra also ventured into television, making appearances in the TV series "Strangers" and having a small role in "Brookside". Her big-screen break came in 1987 when she starred in the action feature film Gunpowder alongside Stephen Crane and Gordon Jackson.
