Dee, a renowned filmmaker, was born in South Africa and began her professional journey as an editor for the weekly cinema newsreels at Killarney Film Studios. She went on to establish her own television company, producing and directing over 50 programs for a prominent broadcaster in South Africa.
Throughout her illustrious career, Dee has worked in various parts of the world, including Africa, the United Kingdom, California, and Australia, where she has been based since 1999. Her extensive experience has enabled her to produce and direct films of all sizes, from feature-length productions to television episodes.
Dee's impressive body of work includes the award-winning film "The Jammed," which received widespread critical acclaim and was hailed as "the best Australian film of 2007" by several prominent critics, including David Stratton. Her other notable credits include directing "The Second Jungle Book" (Tristar Columbia) and television episodes such as "Wentworth" and "A Doctor's Life."
In addition to her film work, Dee has received recognition for her corporate productions, including a Silver Dolphin 2012 Corporate Cannes Award for her work on "A Doctor's Life."
