Desi, a multifaceted comedian, actor, and writer, has made a name for herself in the NYC entertainment scene. With a strong foundation in live performance, she honed her skills on Maude Night at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, a platform that allowed her to develop her unique voice and style.
Currently, Desi writes and performs her own original characters as part of UCBT's Characters Welcome team, showcasing her impressive range and versatility. Additionally, she collaborates with Blank The Musical to create weekly improvised full-length musicals Off-Broadway, pushing the boundaries of comedy and music.
Desi's impressive repertoire also includes solo character shows and improv comedy performances, both solo and with her indie team Miles From Pete, which can be seen around the city. Her extensive training and experience have prepared her for the demands of the entertainment industry.
Desi's educational background is equally impressive, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama from Davidson College. Furthermore, she has undergone extensive training in Commedia Dell'Arte, a centuries-old form of improvisational theatre, at The Accademia Dell'Arte in Tuscany.
