Diane Brewster, a talented character actress, was born on March 11, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri. At the tender age of 24, she embarked on her acting career in television, making her debut in a few episodes of the western series Cheyenne in 1955 and Zane Grey Theatre in 1956.
Her early film appearances included the role of Sylvia Quentin in Pharaoh's Curse in 1956, marking the beginning of her motion picture career. However, it was her portrayal of the charming grade school teacher Miss Canfield on the beloved television comedy series Leave It to Beaver in 1957 that left a lasting impression on audiences.
Despite her last notable film appearance as Kate Lawrence in The Young Philadelphians in 1959, Diane Brewster continued to work in television, making a final appearance on the popular series Family Affair in 1966. After a successful and fulfilling career, Diane decided to retire from the camera.
