Biography

Dimitri Rassam, a remarkably diverse and multifaceted individual, came into existence on the 16th of November, 1981, as a result of the union between his parents, whose heritage is deeply rooted in the rich cultural traditions of both Lebanon and France.

Dimitri, the offspring of the illustrious actress Carole Bouquet and film producer Jean-Pierre Rassam, is blessed with a storied family legacy. His lineage is further enriched by the presence of his half-brother, Louis, born in 1987 to his mother's relationship with renowned photographer Francis Giacobetti.

Unfortunately, Dimitri's life was forever altered when his father, Jean-Pierre Rassam, succumbed to the devastating effects of a drug overdose at a tender age of four. This premature loss undoubtedly had a profound impact on Dimitri's early life and development.

Rassam's academic odyssey commenced at École Active Bilingue, a renowned institution where he obtained a Bac scientifique, a milestone that marked the beginning of his academic pursuits. Subsequently, he embarked on a pre-program at Sciences Po, a prestigious institution renowned for its academic excellence, before redirecting his academic trajectory to earn a degree in history from the esteemed Sorbonne, a feat that solidified his academic credentials and positioned him as a scholar of distinction.

At a remarkably young age of twenty-three, Dimitri embarked upon a pioneering venture, establishing the production company "Chapter 2", a milestone that would mark the beginning of a fruitful and illustrious career.

Dimitri's professional journey has been marked by a series of collaborative endeavors with esteemed animation directors, one of whom is the illustrious Mark Osborne, whose impressive body of work includes the critically acclaimed films Kung Fu Panda and The Little Prince.
