Dina Ruiz was born in 1965, commencing a life that would be marked by significant achievements in the world of journalism and entertainment.
Her educational pursuits began at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California, where she laid the foundation for her future endeavors. She then anchored Newsline for Ohlone College Television, showcasing her early talent in the field. This experience was followed by her majoring in Radio/TV at San Francisco State University, which she graduated from in 1988.
Two years after her graduation, Dina landed a job as a reporter and eventually a news anchor for KNAZ-TV in Flagstaff, Arizona. Her skills and dedication quickly earned her a promotion, and she was hired as a news anchor at KSBW.
It was during her time at KSBW that she met Clint Eastwood for the first time in 1993, during an interview. The two would eventually tie the knot on March 31, 1996. Their daughter, Morgan Eastwood, was born on December 12th of the same year.
In 1997, Dina retired from KSBW to devote more time to her family and pursue other interests. One of her notable projects was a news magazine called "Quest for Excellence," which airs on several Bay Area stations. This program focuses on highlighting aspects of the state's educational system, and has featured stories on a variety of topics, including a recent program that highlighted a Monterey Bay student with cerebral palsy.
Dina's talents extend beyond journalism, as she has also acted in several films and television shows. She hosted Candid Camera in 1998, and appeared in Blood Work in 2002 and True Crime in 1999. In addition to her acting career, she is a contributing editor for "Golf Digest Women" and hosts The Eagle Invitational Golf Tournament.
