Paula Poundstone, Denis Leary, Steven Wright, and Bobcat Goldthwait, a quartet of talented comedians, owed a significant debt of gratitude to the Ding Ho Comedy Club, a pioneering Boston-based institution that was founded in 1979, and in which DJ Hazard played a pivotal role as one of the original members. This iconic club, the brainchild of comedian and writer Barry Crimmins, who served as its general manager and booking agent, was the perfect breeding ground for the development of new comedic talent. Hazard, who took on the responsibilities of assistant manager and creative director, was instrumental in shaping the club's artistic direction, and as a result, he became a prominent figure in the Boston comedy scene, his influence felt far and wide.
In the year 1995, DJ Hazard embarked upon an extraordinary and unconventional adventure, which saw him transform a 1985 Nissan Stanza Hatchback into his very own mobile home. With this remarkable conversion complete, he set off on a three-year odyssey across the vast expanse of North America, a journey that would ultimately span from 1995 to 1998.
Throughout this remarkable period, DJ Hazard chose to live out of his car, eschewing traditional forms of accommodation in favor of the freedom and flexibility that his mobile home provided. However, there were occasions when he was offered temporary accommodations, and it was during these brief respites that he would temporarily leave behind the comforts of his trusty Stanza.
As the years passed, DJ Hazard's remarkable adventure continued to unfold, with him traversing the length and breadth of North America, taking in the sights and sounds of this vast and diverse continent.
