Dylan Schmid's acting talents have been widely acclaimed for their affirmation, intensity, and precision. Born in Victoria, British Columbia, he demonstrated these exceptional abilities from a young age.
By the time he was just six years old, Dylan had been inspired by his mother's words that movies are not, in fact, real life. He begged his mother to submit him for an audition, which was advertised in a local newspaper. Although the casting executives initially deemed him too inexperienced to secure the part, Dylan was undeterred and instead dedicated himself to acting classes for the next eight years.
As his passion for the craft continued to grow, Dylan officially began pursuing his dream of becoming an actor. His first notable role came when he landed the part of young "Baelfire" in ABC's long-running hit series "Once Upon A Time", opposite the renowned actor Robert Carlyle.
Since then, Dylan has secured a wide range of roles in various television shows, including Fox's FRINGE, The Hubs' R.L. Stine's THE HAUNTING HOUR, and Freeform's BEYOND, among others. He has also had the opportunity to star as a series regular on Hulu's SHUT EYE for two seasons and opposite Thomas Jane in Netflix's adaptation of the Stephen King novella 1922.
In addition to his television work, Dylan has also made appearances in the FX/Hulu limited series A TEACHER and TNT's SNOWPIERCER, an adaptation of Bong Joon-ho's 2013 hit film. His most recent project is the Netflix series WOMAN OF THE HOUR, which premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival.
