Ebbe Bassey, a multifaceted individual of great talent, was born in the Bronx, New York, but spent her formative years in Calabar, Nigeria, West Africa, a culturally rich and diverse environment that undoubtedly had a profound impact on her artistic development.

As a dedicated and passionate actress, writer, and producer, Ebbe is deeply committed to the notion that art should not only entertain but also educate, a philosophy that is reflected in her meticulous approach to her craft.

Ebbe's passion for acting is evident in her rigorous training, which has included the esteemed Meisner technique of Method acting at the renowned William Esper Studio, under the guidance of the highly respected and accomplished Ms. Maggie Flanigan, a mentor who has played a significant role in shaping Ebbe's artistic vision and skillset.

Through her tireless efforts and unwavering dedication, Ebbe Bassey has established herself as a talented and versatile artist, with a keen understanding of the importance of art in society, and a commitment to using her talents to make a positive impact on the world.

Ebbe seized the opportunity to helm her production company, 10Wembly Productions, in 2007, and subsequently produced her inaugural short film, "Siri Oko Fo (Mending Fences)", in which she not only took center stage as the lead actress but also co-penned the script and exercised her executive producing muscles. This cinematic endeavour premiered at the prestigious 2008 Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner, and has since garnered widespread recognition and acclaim, being welcomed into a plethora of esteemed film festivals, including the Hollywood Black Film Festival, the Boston International Film Festival, Urban World, Newfilmmakers, London's Raindance, and the Show Off Your Shorts film festivals.

Ebbe's illustrious acting career has afforded her the privilege of participating in a diverse array of projects, including the critically acclaimed television series NYPD Blues and Law & Order: SVU. Furthermore, she brought her expertise to the forefront by serving as a technical advisor on the Law & Order: SVU episode "Snitch", which courageously tackled the sensitive and timely topic of female genital mutilation in Nigeria. Ebbe's impressive filmography boasts a range of short films, including the award-winning "A Spoonful of Sugar", which garnered the Best Student Film accolade at the prestigious Hollywood Black Film Festival in 2003.

Ebbe has garnered significant media attention, with her notable appearances in prominent publications such as The Nigerian Sunday Guardian, a widely read and respected newspaper that has been a leading source of news and information in Nigeria for over three decades.

In addition to her feature in The Nigerian Sunday Guardian, Ebbe has also been spotlighted in Daily Independent's Positive People, a popular section of the newspaper that highlights inspiring stories of individuals making a positive impact in their communities.

Furthermore, Ebbe's accomplishments have been showcased in Momentum MV, a respected publication that focuses on entrepreneurship, business, and lifestyle, as well as Ladybrille, a leading online magazine that celebrates African women and their achievements.

Moreover, Ebbe's work has been featured in Obaasema, a popular online platform that serves as a hub for African news, entertainment, and lifestyle.

Currently, Ebbe is actively involved in pre-production for her second short film, "Saving My Father", which is being produced under the umbrella of 10Wembly Productions, a reputable production company that has produced a range of successful films and television shows.
