Edith Margarita Massola Mederos was born on September 7th, 1967, in the heart of Centro Habana. Her artistic journey began on the same date, at the tender age of 14, when she enrolled in dance studies.
Massola's extensive career spans across various mediums, including television, film, and theater. She made her debut in the 1990s, starring in the series "Una novia para David" as Olga, and later consolidated her position in the world of musical theater and television.
Her versatility is evident in her work, which includes dramatic series such as "El año que viene" and "Al compás del son", as well as recent film productions like "Nada" and "La noche de los inocentes". Since 1998, she has been the host of the popular program "23 y M" on Cuban Television, under the direction of Julio César Leal, and is currently the program's Director.
Massola is one of the most charismatic Cuban artists of her time, known for her exceptional ability to transform herself into any character or activity. Her debut in the film "Una novia para David" as Olga, as well as her roles in the movies "Nada" (2001) and "La noche de los inocentes", are a testament to her talent.
Throughout her career, she has worked on numerous Cuban novels and dramatic series, including "El año que viene", where she popularized the phrase "Dime algo, Fernández", and "Salir de noche", in which she played the character Maritere. In the world of theater, she has appeared in productions such as "Las viejas putas" by Juan Carlos Cremata, as well as humorous roles like Maritrini in the musical program "Sabadazo", and the charming secretary of Albertico Pujols in "Su respuesta, Doctor", alongside Rigoberto Ferrera, among others.
