Eldon Thiele, a renowned New Brunswick actor, embarked on his professional acting journey as a teenager, after winning the prestigious Theatre New Brunswick Mardi Cockburn Award for Performer Demonstrating the Most Professional Potential at the 1995 New Brunswick Drama Festival. This notable achievement paved the way for his future success, as he went on to win the coveted Moonsnail Award for Best Male Actor at the 1997 Atlantic Film Festival for his captivating portrayal of a pickpocket in the film "Terminal Lunch". His outstanding performance in this role also earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the 1998 Yorkton Film Festival.
In the year 2000, Thiele shared the screen with esteemed actress Kate Nelligan in CTV's "Blessed Stranger - After Flight 111", delivering a remarkable performance that led to him securing representation with a top-tier agency in Toronto. He then resided in Toronto for six years, where he consistently worked in film and television, making appearances on notable series such as "University" and "Queer As Folk".
In 2006, Thiele returned to his native province to focus on his music career, ultimately releasing eight CD albums to-date, and garnering 11 Music New Brunswick Award nominations. His one-man band Zwerg has also produced ten music videos, with one of these videos airing multiple times on MuchMoreMusic. Thiele returned to television in 2009, with an appearance on Showtime's "G-Spot". He was subsequently nominated for Best Actor at the 2011 Silver Wave Film Festival, for his lead role in Travis Grant's "Maybe Tomorrow".
Recently, Thiele reprised his role as hustler "Ben" in Season 2 of Thom Fitzgerald's series "Sex and Violence", starring the renowned Oscar-winner Olympia Dukakis. Throughout his illustrious career, Thiele has consistently demonstrated his versatility and talent, effortlessly transitioning between acting and music.
