Elise van 't Laar, a talented actress, received a nomination for Best Actress at the Dutch Film Festival for her outstanding performance in Peter Hoogendoorn's film "Between 10 and 12", which premiered at the prestigious Venice Film Festival in 2014.
She co-starred in the critically acclaimed film "Supernova", directed by Tamar van den Dop, which opened at the Berlinale in 2014. Additionally, she was featured in the highly acclaimed mini-series "Ramses", which won the prestigious Prix de l'Europe for best European TV Drama and an International Emmy award.
Elise graduated from the Academy of the Arts in Arnhem and made her stage debut in the production of "Blonde Mientje" by D*amor. Prior to completing her studies, she starred in "Iets, Iemand" by Generatie Oost, directed by Laura van Dolron. With theatre company Oostpool, Elise had notable roles in "The Misanthrope" from Molière, played Harper in "Angels in America", and starred in "A Lie of the Mind" by Sam Shepard. She also appeared in Strindberg's "The Father", directed by Karlijn Kistemaker.
On television, Elise played a supporting role in the drama series "Lijn32" and guest-starred in "Love Hurts", "Divorce 2", "Cinderella", and "Heeren Meester". Elise also led the short film "Vloeibaar Staal".
