Eljay Williams, a native of Youngstown, Ohio, earned a degree from the prestigious University of Pittsburgh's Film School, before relocating to Georgia to pursue a career in television. After gaining experience with Comcast SportsSouth, Eljay joined FoxSportsNet, where he held various production roles before becoming one of the network's main editors.
During his time with FoxSportsNet, Eljay traveled with the Atlanta Hawks, producing and editing opening sequences for their broadcasts on FSN South. Eljay's impressive portfolio also includes directing and editing three documentaries, one of which, "As the Technics Spin," received the Director's Award at the International Black Male Film Festival.
In addition to his documentary work, Eljay created and produced the award-winning Hip Hop documentary series "The Stand On Demand," which successfully integrated Comcast's On Demand service with Atlanta's Indie Hip Hop Scene. Currently, Eljay edits high-end image campaigns and other premium content for NBAtv / Turner Broadcasting. He is also the visionary behind "TheNewContent," the first all-Hip Hop channel available on Roku Streaming Devices, GoogleTV, Samsung Smart TVs, and Apple iPads.
With his sights set on feature films, Eljay's first installment, the indie film "Pathways (Sean's Lament)," explores Atlanta's Independent Hip Hop Scene in 2010.
