Emilie Ullerup-Petersen, a talented individual, was born in Denmark, where her father, Ove Ullerup-Petersen, a respected jurist and diplomat, held the esteemed title of Lord Chamberlain for the Danish Royal Family. This esteemed position added to the family's already impressive legacy, with Ove being a decorated Ambassador of Denmark in Vietnam.
Emilie's passion for acting was evident from a young age, and she had always dreamed of becoming a successful actress. Upon graduating from high school in Copenhagen in 2003, she made the bold decision to relocate to Vancouver, Canada, to pursue her acting career. Her dedication to her craft led her to enroll at the prestigious Vancouver Film School, where she completed her studies in 2005.
Emilie's first notable role was that of Julia Prynne in the critically acclaimed sci-fi television series, Battlestar Galactica, in 2004. Her impressive performance did not go unnoticed, as she was soon cast as Sandra in the first episode of the popular television series, Blood Ties, in 2006. Her breakthrough role, however, came when she was cast as one of the main characters in the groundbreaking television series, Sanctuary, in 2008. In this series, she had the privilege of working alongside the talented Amanda Tapping.
