Eric Szmanda, a talented American actor, is widely recognized for his captivating portrayal of forensic investigator "Greg Sanders" on the popular television series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation". Born and raised in Wisconsin, Eric's passion for acting was evident from an early age, as he actively participated in school plays and community theatre.
Following his high school graduation, Eric relocated to Los Angeles at the age of 19 to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. He enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he honed his craft and simultaneously secured a marketing internship with the renowned music conglomerate BMG. Eric's hard work and dedication earned him a full-time job in the music industry after graduating in 1996.
However, Eric's true calling remained in the world of acting. He relocated to Chicago a year later to take on a full-time role in the music business, but his passion for the stage soon led him back to Los Angeles. Eric's breakthrough came when he landed a role in a play at the Odyssey Theatre, which caught the attention of an agent and manager. This led to his casting as the series regular "Jacob" on USA's TV series "The Net", which ran for one season.
Eric's success on "The Net" paved the way for his subsequent roles, including the central character "Johnny Dodge" in the UPN pilot "Dodge's City". Although the show was not picked up by the network, Eric's impressive performance as a DNA tech on the CBS pilot "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" led to a recurring role on the popular series.
In addition to his work on "CSI", Eric has continued to showcase his versatility as an actor, guest-starring and recurring on various TV shows, and appearing in independent films. He has also ventured into the world of digital content, producing a range of internet content, including comedy videos and music interviews.
