Biography

Erik Peter Carlson, also known by his devoted fan base as EPC, was born and raised in Upstate New York within a family of film enthusiasts. This background in filmmaking likely influenced his development as a filmmaker, as critics have described his style as being reminiscent of Italian and German techniques.

In 2019, EPC launched a new production company with the goal of creating a vast universe of fairy tale characters and stories across various mediums. His fourth feature film, "A Fairy Tale After All," marked the beginning of this endeavor. The movie tells the story of a stubborn teenage girl who finds herself transported into a world of fantasy and fairy tales after attending a school marionette show, where she encounters whimsical characters.

EPC is currently working on a sequel to "A Fairy Tale After All," titled "Welcome To Fairy Rings," which is a companion story to the original feature. He is also developing a children's book based on the characters from the "A Fairy Tale After All" universe.

Prior to his work on fairy tales, EPC produced, wrote, and directed the film "Transatlantic Coffee" in 2010. The movie was completed in 2011 and received numerous awards and rave reviews at film festivals worldwide, including best picture, screenplay, director, actor, and supporting actress. "Transatlantic Coffee" was released in the fall of 2012.

EPC's second writing and directing feature, "The Toy Soldiers," is a dramatic and epic coming-of-age picture that premiered at the Chinese Theaters in Hollywood on June 8, 2014. The film was also invited to the prestigious Hollywood Film Festival in October 2014 and was released nationwide in the US on November 14, 2014, in AMC Theaters. Additionally, the screenplay was sought after by The Academy of Arts and Sciences to be included in their permanent library for filmmakers and students worldwide.

In 2018, EPC released "Wolf Mother," a crime drama that follows two outlaws as they attempt to redeem themselves by solving a high-profile child abduction case.
