Erika Hamilton, a talented actress and writer, hails from Piqua, Ohio, where she was born to beloved high school teacher Larry Hamilton. She graduated from Piqua High School in 1997 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Cincinnati.
Before pursuing her passion for the entertainment industry, Erika leveraged her degree to secure a job as a local Sports Reporter, covering the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds professional teams. Her competitive nature as a gymnast and dancer led her to take a new path, and she joined the Philadelphia 76ers Dance Team.
For the next three years, Erika performed with the New York Knicks City Dancers, a prestigious group that has launched the careers of many notable dancers. It was during her time with the Knicks City Dancers that she was discovered and featured prominently in the first-generation Apple iPod ads, starring alongside legendary musician Bob Dylan.
Erika's charm and comedic timing led her to land an early role opposite LL Cool J in a nationally aired TV ad campaign. She went on to appear in 11 nationally broadcast commercials for a diverse range of clients, including Facebook, Nike, Volvo, Under Armor, Cisco, Old Spice, and Jose Cuervo.
Currently, Erika is focusing on writing and producing films that showcase her unique perspective and worldview. Her recent short film, Out of Tune, has been well-received at film festivals, and her personal drama, Belief, is a heartwarming tribute to motherhood and community. The film tells the story of a black mother's unwavering support for her son after their local school fails them. Written and directed by her husband, Christian Loubek, Belief stars Erika and marks the acting debut of her two children, Charley and Baer.
