Eva Podzimková, born Eva Josefíková, hails from Uherské Hradiste, where she pursued her secondary education at the local gymnasium. Her journey in the world of theatre commenced in 1999 as a student of literature and dramatic studies at the Elementary school of Art in Uherské Hradiste. She was an integral part of the "Dohráli jsme" (That's a Wrap) theatrical group, taking on various roles, including Viktorka in the adaptation of Bozena Nemcová's "Babicka" (Grandmother) and Adele in Frederic Garcia Lorca's "House of Bernarda Alba".
Currently, Eva is in her fourth year of dramatic studies at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). Her impressive repertoire includes guest appearances at the Czech National Theatre, where she portrayed Barunka in the production of "Grandmother", directed by J. A. Pitinsky, as well as in "The End of Carnival", also directed by Pitinsky.
In the autumn of 2011, Eva took on the role of Nina Zarecná in Czechov's "Seagull" at the Estates Theatre. She has also played multiple roles in "Enron", directed by Michal Docekal, and is a member of the "Tygr v tísni" (Tiger in Need) theatrical company since 2011. Furthermore, Eva has been featured in various productions at the Disk theatre, including Lilly Cahill in S. Stephens' "Punk Rock", directed by I. K. Kubak.
Eva's extensive filmography includes appearances in Czech movies such as "The Devil's Bride" (2011),"One Way Ticket" (2010),"Signál" (2012),and "I Wake Up Yesterday" (2012),among others. She is also actively involved in student projects, consistently pushing the boundaries of her craft.
