Francesca Hayward is a highly accomplished and renowned Principal ballerina at The Royal Ballet, having undergone rigorous training at the prestigious Royal Ballet School. Throughout her illustrious career, she has had the privilege of performing numerous major roles for the esteemed company, including the iconic roles of Clara in The Nutcracker, Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, and the title role in Giselle. Interestingly, Francesca's passion for ballet was first ignited at the tender age of two, when she watched a captivating video of The Nutcracker, which ultimately led her to begin taking ballet lessons. A BBC documentary subsequently followed her journey, capturing her debut as the Sugar Plum Fairy in 2016.
In addition to her impressive achievements with The Royal Ballet, Francesca took a well-deserved sabbatical in 2018 to join the film adaptation of the beloved musical Cats, alongside her colleague and fellow ballerina, Steven McRae.
