Francesca Gelsomina Ruscio, a multifaceted individual with a rich cultural heritage, was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Her mother, Mirella DiFulvio-Ruscio, hails from Fara Filiorum Petri, Abruzzo, Italy, while her father, Pasquale Ruscio, is the son of Italian immigrants. In 2013, Francesca Ruscio's outstanding beauty and charisma earned her the prestigious title of Miss Philadelphia under the esteemed Miss America Organization. As a local ambassador for Children's Miracle Network hospitals, she dedicated her time to making a positive impact on the lives of children.
Presently, Francesca continues to work with Veteran charities and CMN Hospitals, while also spearheading her own non-profit organization, Veterans On The Move. This remarkable endeavor aims to provide vital support and resources to programs that aid in the rehabilitation of physically and mentally paralyzed veterans, empowering them to reintegrate into society through recreational sports.
Francesca's educational background is equally impressive, having graduated with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia, where she also minored in theater. In addition, she has spent over 15 years honing her musical skills and is a classically trained singer.
Initially, Francesca envisioned a career in journalism, with aspirations to work in Philadelphia or New York City. However, after gaining early film experience, she landed her first principle role in director Joe Gawalis's film, Bare Knuckle Brawler, alongside notable actors Danny Trejo and Martin Kove.
