Person Biography:
Gary Mauro, a talented actor and identical twin brother of Glen Mauro, was born on January 14, 1961, in New Jersey. With a career spanning multiple mediums, Gary has made a name for himself by appearing in television, film, music videos, commercials, and print ads alongside his brother.
Gary's early start in the industry began in New York City as a model, taking him to exotic locations worldwide, including Milan, Belgium, and Switzerland. He has since appeared in numerous notable roles, including one of the seductive twin vampires in the 1985 feature film "Once Bitten" and as one of 'The Boys of Summer' in the Don Henley music video of the same name.
Gary and his brother Glen have also worked with renowned director Steven Spielberg, guest-starring as Sam and Dave, 'The Terrible Twins' on the popular television series "Amazing Stories". The episode, titled "The Mission", was originally completed as a half-hour but was later extended to an hour-long episode, making it the longest and most famous episode of the series.
In addition to his work with his brother, Gary has appeared in numerous feature films and television shows, including "The Zoo Gang", "Swallows", "Somebody Is Waiting", "2 Days in the Valley", "The Substitute", "Jack and Jill", "The 119", "Pacific Blue", "Father Dowling Mysteries", "Dear John", "Married... with Children", "Casualties of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story", and "The Fifth Corner".
Gary has received training from renowned acting coaches Martin Donovan, Tony Savant, and J.J. Cohen, and is proficient in various dialects. He is also an athlete, able to play most sports, including baseball, basketball, football, boxing, wrestling, swimming, and golf. His special skills include precision driving, heavy equipment operation, limousine operation, truck operation, car operation, and motorcycle operation. Gary has also undergone equipment and tactical training with the Los Angeles City Firefighters.
Gary has worked behind the camera as well, serving as a P.A. and Assistant to Art Directors in props and set dressing, as well as transportation, on numerous commercial, television, and film productions. He is a member of SAG/AFTRA and is represented by NoodleHead Productions for public appearances and roles.
