Biography

George Savvides, a talented individual, began his journey in the world of drama by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Drama from Middlesex University. He then furthered his education by training at the prestigious Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Throughout his career, George has successfully juggled his work in film and television with his passion for stage performances. Some of his notable stage appearances include playing the role of Alim in the production of "Thought Virus" at the Drayton Arms, The Judge in "Haram Iran" at Above the Stag, and the title role in "Walaa" at the New Diorama.

George's impressive repertoire also includes performances in site-specific productions, such as "In the Beginning was the End" at Somerset House, where he played the role of St John, and "Augusta" at the New End Theatre in Hampstead, where he portrayed Alfredo.

In addition to his stage work, George has also made appearances in various productions touring the UK, including "Birds Without Wings" with Eastern Angles, "The Battle of Green Lanes" at the Theatre Royal Stratford East, and "Romeo & Juliet" on a European tour, where he played the role of Friar Laurence.

George has also had the opportunity to work on several productions for BBC Radio 4, including "The Lockerbie Trial", "Honey From A Weed", and "The Interview", where he played the roles of Giaka, Apostolis, and Mullah, respectively.

In addition to his acting career, George has also demonstrated his skills as a translator, having translated three Aristophanes' plays: "Clouds", "Wealth", and "The Frogs". These productions have been showcased at various venues, including the Commission, Warehouse Theatre in Croydon, and the UK Arts Council Tour.
