George Tchortov, a talented individual, was born on June 27, 1980, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, a city that would later become his lifelong home. At the tender age of four, his mother, Milica, made the decision to relocate the family to Toronto, a move that would shape the course of George's life.
Growing up in Toronto, George attended Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate, where he developed a passion for the performing arts. He was an integral part of the school's theatrical scene, regularly participating in plays, talent shows, and even serving as the voice of the morning announcements.
After gaining experience as a stunt performer, George decided to pursue his true calling in acting. He made the bold move to New York City, where he graduated from the esteemed Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting in 2007.
Upon his return to Toronto, George transitioned seamlessly into a successful acting career, landing a string of principal roles. His first major break came when he appeared as a guest star on the hit series Covert Affairs, opposite Piper Perabo. He has since gone on to secure guest roles on a variety of notable shows, including HBO Canada's Living In Your Car, Warehouse 13, Heartland, Rookie Blue, The Listener, CTV's Motive, CW's Arrow, and Syfy's Killjoys.
In 2010, George was thrilled to join the cast of the Canadian box office smash hit comedy GOON, penned by Canadian legend Jay Baruchel and directed by Canada's own Michael Dowse. His film credits also include the TIFF Award-winning Antiviral, David Hayter's Wolves, and the recent short film Honor Code by Pascal Trottier.
George is renowned for his exceptional character work and physicality, and is a warm and light-hearted individual who shows no signs of slowing down.
