Gerrard Lobo's life journey began in Karachi, Pakistan, where he spent his early years before relocating to Mahwah, New Jersey, just before his 7th birthday. His family's rich cultural heritage, stemming from his grandparents on both sides being of Goan descent, is reflected in his Portuguese surname and Christian upbringing. His father, a businessman, spent significant time working overseas, while his mother devoted herself to raising their four children, with Gerrard being the youngest.
Gerrard's foray into the world of acting began with a role in the ensemble cast of "Antony & Cleopatra" at The Poet's Den Theater in Harlem, New York, in 2011. His breakthrough in television came with the character Anush on Netflix's "Master of None" in 2015, marking the beginning of a successful career in various comedies, dramas, and procedurals.
Gerrard's academic pursuits led him to Villanova University, where he earned a degree in Philosophy, English, and Spanish Literature. It was during his freshman year that he met his martial arts teacher, an encounter that would have a lasting impact on his life. Gerrard has since dedicated himself to the practice of martial arts, becoming an avid student and practitioner to this day.
