Go Jibiki, a Japanese actor of remarkable talent, was born in Tokyo, Japan. Due to his father's business ventures, he spent his formative years in Singapore from 1983 to 1986 and later in New York, United States, from 1986 to 1989. This diverse upbringing enabled him to fluently speak English, a skill that would serve him well in his future endeavors.
After returning to Japan, Jibiki began to cultivate his passion for acting. At the tender age of 14, he joined the prestigious theatrical company "Wakakusa," where he remained for two years until the age of 16.
Jibiki's first foray into the world of film was in the 1998 movie "April Story" directed by renowned Japanese filmmaker Shunji Iwai. Following his graduation from Gakushuin University, he rekindled his interest in acting and enrolled in the esteemed acting school "En," graduating in 2001.
In 2007, Jibiki had the privilege of collaborating with acclaimed Japanese director Koji Wakamatsu, with whom he worked on five films, including the critically acclaimed "United Red Army." In this movie, he portrayed the pivotal role of Tsuneo Mori, the leader of the United Red Army, and received widespread acclaim for his performance. The film went on to win prestigious awards at the 58th Berlin International Film Festival, including the C.I.C.A.E Prizes and the NETPAC Prize.
Jibiki's unique abilities include his proficiency in Iaijutsu, a traditional Japanese martial art that involves combative quick-draw sword techniques. He has been training under the guidance of master Tetsuzan Kuroda for over two decades, honing his skills to become a master of this ancient art.
