Halfbreed Billy Gram, a multifaceted entertainer, garnered a devoted cult following and fan base through his work in various entertainment genres. As the singer and frontman for the Philadelphia punk/metal band Saints in Hell, he shared the stage with future Cinderella members Tom Keifer and Eric Brittingham. After Saints in Hell disbanded, Gram launched a successful solo career with his 1991 indie CD/album, Ghostdance Tribe. He wrote, sang, and played guitar for the project, showcasing his multifaceted talents.
Gram's activism was another significant aspect of his career. As a vocal advocate for Native Sovereignty and treaty rights, particularly for the Iroquois people, he became a prominent figure in the struggle for indigenous rights. In addition to his activism, Gram was a skilled traditional dancer, pow wow singer, and drummer, having spent many years honing his craft.
Gram also ventured into the world of celebrity management, booking personal appearances for numerous horror genre actors at various conventions and autograph shows. However, it was his years as a professional wrestling manager that brought him the most public attention. He created and led a faction called Cult Fiction, portraying a Charles Manson-esque character who led a group of the most feared and brutal wrestlers on the independent scene.
Gram's reputation as a manager was built on his exceptional talking and promo skills, earning him the nickname "the most hardcore, non-wrestler manager in the history of that business." His willingness to be physically abused in violent and shocking manners, including taking beatings and being assaulted with various implements, solidified his reputation among fans.
