Ge Hu, also known as Hu Ge, hails from Shanghai, China, where he began his entertainment career at the tender age of fourteen as a part-time TV host. During his primary and high school years, he appeared in numerous TV commercials, laying the groundwork for his future success.
Hu's formal education took him to the prestigious Shanghai Theatre Academy, where he majored in acting from 2001 to 2005. However, his college years were marked by stardom, as he became a household name in China and Taiwan, thanks to his portrayal of Li Xiaoyao in the TV series Chinese Paladin (2005).
