From a young age of 11, Ian has been deeply entrenched in the world of theatre, where he has honed his craft and nurtured his passion. His foray into television and film acting began with an unexpected invitation to audition from fellow thespian Mahdi A. Clark, which ultimately led to a performance that captivated the attention of over 30 esteemed agents attending an exclusive showcase. This remarkable opportunity yielded several offers from prominent agencies in both Los Angeles and the Southeast, and subsequently, Ian signed with the prestigious Houghton Talent of Atlanta, Georgia in March of 2013, marking a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.
Ian's professional journey has been marked by an impressive streak of involvement in numerous theatrical productions, with his extensive portfolio boasting an impressive tally of over 35 sets, each one a testament to his unwavering commitment to his craft and his remarkable innate talent.
Ian's fascination with acting was cultivated through his immersion in the Meisner Method, a renowned technique honed under the expert guidance of Vince Pisani, where he stood out as one of the youngest students in a class of seasoned professionals. He further expanded his acting repertoire by exploring the Strasberg Method under the meticulous tutelage of Jayson Warner Smith. Furthermore, Ian's academic pursuits took him to The Dekalb School of the Arts, a prestigious institution celebrated for its remarkable excellence in both academics and the performing arts. As a remarkable student, Ian consistently maintained a 3.5 GPA or above, and was an active member of various extracurricular activities, including the Beta Club, the Drama Ensemble, and The International Thespian Society. His academic focus was a Drama Major with a Creative Writing Minor, and he was one of the select few students to audition for and successfully secure leading roles in his first year of attendance, an impressive achievement at 8th grade level, at DSA.
