Under the watchful eye of his mentor, Yefim Padve, who tragically passed away in 1991, Pavlov continued his studies with Vladimir Norenko, a protégé of the illustrious director Georgi Tovstonogov, whose own career was marked by numerous triumphs and accolades.

Prior to receiving his diploma, Pavlov joined the esteemed troupe of the Theater on Liteinyy, where he had the opportunity to refine his craft by assuming the roles of characters from the classical canon, including the part of Ivan Berestov in the musical "The Young Lady-Peasant Woman", a production that showcased his remarkable range and versatility as an actor.

Pavlov's acting career, which began while he was still a student, saw him make his debut in the film "Komediya strogogo rezhima" in 1992. This marked the start of a long and varied filmography, with Pavlov going on to appear in a range of productions.

One notable role was his portrayal of revolutionary Nikolay Kibalchich in the mini-series "Lyubov imperatora", which was released in 2002. This performance showcased Pavlov's ability to bring complex characters to life on screen.

Pavlov also had recurring roles in the police saga "Streets of Broken Lights", appearing in multiple seasons of the show.
