Isaac Bashevis Singer, a renowned writer, entered the world on July 14, 1904, in Leoncin, Poland, which was then part of the Russian Empire, but is now situated in the Mazowieckie region of Poland.
This celebrated author is perhaps best known for his work on the 1983 film adaptation of "Yentl", as well as his novels "Enemies, A Love Story" released in 1989 and "The Magician of Lublin" published in 1979.
Throughout his life, Isaac Bashevis Singer was blessed with the love and companionship of two wives, Alma Wassermann and Runia Pontsch.
Sadly, Isaac Bashevis Singer's life came to a close on July 24, 1991, in the coastal town of Surfside, Florida, USA.
