Noted Polish filmmaker, a distinguished alumnus of the prestigious State Film Academy in Lódz, Poland, where he had the privilege of being mentored by the renowned director Andrzej Wajda.

His cinematic endeavors have garnered widespread recognition and accolades, with his film "Memory" earning an award at the esteemed Locarno International Film Festival in 1975.

Furthermore, his other notable works, such as "Stars in Hair, Tears in the Eyes", have been honored with prestigious awards, including the Golden Orange at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in Turkey, and have also been showcased at prominent film festivals in London and Sydney.

Additionally, his film "Ivan and Alexandra" has received numerous accolades, including the Golden Rose at the Varna International Film Festival in Bulgaria in 1988, the Golden Placket at the Chicago International Film Festival in 1989, and the Special Jury Prize at the Montecatini Film Festival in Italy in the same year.
