From the moment Jacob took his first breath, he was destined for a life surrounded by the rustic charm of his grandfather's farm, where the gentle lowing of cows and the rustling of hay bales in the gentle breeze became the soundtrack to his childhood. As he grew older, his days were filled with the physical labor of tending to the farm's livestock and harvesting the bounty of the land, instilling in him a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the simple things in life.
But fate had other plans for Jacob, and it wasn't until he sat mesmerized in a darkened cinema, watching the critically acclaimed film No Country for Old Men, that the spark of inspiration was ignited within him. As he gazed upon the complex characters on screen, he couldn't help but notice the uncanny resemblance they bore to the people he knew and loved from his own life. The seed of an idea had been planted, and Jacob knew that he had to pursue a career in the world of film.
Years of hard work and dedication followed, culminating in Jacob's graduation from the University of North Texas in 2014 with a degree in Media Arts. As he walked across the stage, diploma in hand, he knew that this was just the beginning of his journey, and that the cinematic stories he would go on to tell would be all the more richer for the experiences and people that had shaped him into the person he was today.
Jacob's humble beginnings in a rural setting have not hindered his ascent to prominence within the vibrant Dallas film community, where he has forged meaningful connections with a diverse array of creative professionals, including esteemed industry figures such as Matt Black and Ryan Polly, co-founders of the respected production company Bonus Features, as well as innovative talents like E'an Verdugo, Julio Cesar Cedillo, and Arcadi Palerm-Artis.
Jacob's directorial debut, a comedy short titled Taco Baby, premiered at the prestigious Dallas International Film Festival in 2024, garnering significant attention throughout its festival run.
