James Schamus, a distinguished American filmmaker, is renowned for his prolific collaborations with the illustrious Taiwanese director Ang Lee, having worked on a diverse range of critically acclaimed films, including the visually stunning Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, the poignant and introspective Eat Drink Man Woman, the tender and humorous Pushing Hands, the poignant and atmospheric The Ice Storm, the cult classic Marvel film Hulk, the nostalgic and offbeat Taking Woodstock, and the sensual and intense Lust, Caution.
In addition to his impressive body of work in film, Schamus is also the co-founder of the influential production company Good Machine, as well as the esteemed studio Focus Features.
