Jamie-Lynn Sigler has been actively involved in the entertainment industry since the tender age of seven, commencing her journey in the New York regional theater scene. Throughout her illustrious career, she has had the privilege of starring in over two dozen theatrical productions, including the iconic "Annie", "The Wizard of Oz", "The Sound of Music", "The Wiz", and "Gypsy". In the summer of 2001, she took on the lead role in the touring production of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II's enchanting "Cinderella", alongside the legendary Eartha Kitt.
Jamie made her Broadway debut as Belle in Disney's magical production of "Beauty and the Beast" from October 2002 to February 2003. Beyond her impressive theatrical credits, she garnered widespread recognition for her portrayal of Meadow Soprano in the critically acclaimed HBO original series "The Sopranos" (1999). Her outstanding performance earned her the 1999 and 2000 Hollywood Reporter Young Star Awards for Best Young Actress in a Dramatic Television Series, as well as both 2001 and 2002 ALMA nominations. She also received a SAG Award for "The Sopranos" (1999) Best Ensemble Cast.
Jamie has also made a notable impact in film, starring as former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss in the USA Network's two-hour original movie "Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss" (2004). She recently completed her first feature film, "Extreme Dating" (2004),and appeared in the music video for Mariah Carey's single, "Through the Rain".
Jamie, who bravely battled an eating disorder in the late 1990s while starring on "The Sopranos" (1999),is now a devoted spokesperson for the National Eating Disorders Association (www.nationaleatingdisorders.org). In 2002, she published her candid autobiography, "Wise Girl" (Pocket Books),which received rave reviews. Jamie has also overcome personal health challenges, including a few years ago when she was paralyzed from the waist down for several days due to Lyme Disease. Her remarkable recovery has given her a fresh perspective on her work and life.
Originally from Jericho (Long Island, New York),Jamie currently resides in New York City. She was previously married to her manager, A.J. Discala, in July 2003, but the marriage has since ended.
