Janene, the youngest of three siblings, was born and raised in the idyllic city of Kelowna, situated in the heart of Canada's picturesque Okanagan Valley. Growing up, she was a multi-talented athlete, exhibiting a diverse range of skills and abilities as she participated in a broad spectrum of sports and dance forms.
However, her true passion and area of greatest enthusiasm lay in the realm of competitive horseback riding, where she demonstrated exceptional aptitude and prowess in the disciplines of show jumping and three-day eventing. Her dedication and commitment to these equestrian pursuits enabled her to compete at a national level, showcasing her remarkable talent and skill to a wider audience.
Janene's professional trajectory underwent a significant transformation as she bid farewell to the competitive horse circuit, opting instead to enroll in college in Victoria, British Columbia, where she concurrently pursued degrees in both Biology and English.
As she navigated this new academic landscape, Janene simultaneously cultivated a career as a personal trainer, honing her skills in this field while also serving as a fitness model and dabbling in the realm of mixed martial arts.
However, it was her extensive experience with training animals and horses that ultimately led Janene to pivot her career trajectory, eventually transitioning into the role of a stunt woman by the year 2005.
Janene's diverse athletic upbringing served as the catalyst for her transition into a comprehensive and dynamic career as a stunt performer, effortlessly transitioning her into the spotlight as a skilled professional capable of doubling for a wide range of esteemed A-list actresses, including the illustrious Angelina Jolie, the talented Jessica Biel, the accomplished Paula Patton, and the versatile Carla Gugino.
Janene's remarkable stunt career was marked by a notable achievement in the year 2011, when she received widespread recognition from her fellow professionals in the industry. This prestigious accolade, a World Taurus Stunt Award, was bestowed upon her in recognition of her outstanding performance in the category of 'Best Overall Stunt Performed by a Woman'. This honor was a testament to her exceptional skill and dedication to her craft, and it was particularly notable given the high-profile nature of the project in which she was involved. Specifically, Janene's award-winning stunt work was in the film 'Salt', where she served as the stunt double for the renowned actress Angelina Jolie.
