Person Biography:
Jared Safier is a renowned four-time Emmy Award-winning producer and director who has had an illustrious career in the entertainment industry. Born in Carmel, California, he moved to Olney, Maryland at the age of three and spent his childhood there. Jared's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech.
Jared began his career as an entertainment manager, booking a tour for an R&B artist in Europe. He soon decided to start his own management company, Safier Management Group, which grew to represent a diverse range of talented musical acts, including rap and hip-hop artists, DJs, and models for commercial, print, runway, and high fashion.
As his company expanded, Jared began to venture into television and film, signing actors, actresses, writers, producers, and a Student Academy Award-winning director to his roster. He also worked as a consultant on numerous multi-million dollar films and television shows, analyzing projects from a financial perspective and packaging films and TV shows with actors, directors, and producers.
Through his production company, Safier Entertainment, Jared has numerous film projects and TV shows in various stages of production and development. His company has deals with major and mini-major studios and has the ability to fund and distribute A-list films and TV shows. Safier Entertainment also has its own domestic theatrical distribution company and foreign sales company that sell films in all foreign sales territories worldwide.
Jared's television projects include serving as the supervising producer for the 23-time Emmy Award-winning and 56-time Emmy-nominated drama series, The Bay, on Amazon Prime. He has also executive produced Timid Pimps and co-executive produced The Jimmy Lloyd Songwriter Showcase on NBC and Amazon.
Safier has produced a variety of films, including Torch, starring Rita Moreno; Christmas vs. the Walters, starring Shawnee Smith and Chris Elliott; Senior Entourage, starring Ed Asner and Jamie Lee Curtis; and 7 Days to Vegas, starring Vincent Van Patten and Paul Walter Hauser. He has also produced and/or executive produced a range of action and family films, including Altitude, Silencer, and The Brawler.
Throughout his career, Jared has worked with numerous Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe-winning actors and actresses, and has developed key relationships with executives at major studios and networks.
