Jason Dottley's journey in the entertainment industry began in 2008 when he took on the role of "Ty Williamson" in the television series Sordid Lives: The Series, which aired in 16 countries worldwide alongside renowned actors Rue McClanahan, Caroline Rhea, and Olivia Newton-John.
Dottley's passion for music led him to pursue a career in the music industry. Over the past four years, he has achieved significant success, boasting three Top 25 Billboard records, one UK Top 10 Dance hit, and an 11-week run on Billboard with his single "It's Our Night", which became his first UK Top 20 Pop hit single. His music has spent a total of 44 weeks on Billboard's charts.
In addition to his accomplishments in television and music, Dottley is also an award-winning theatre producer. He won the prestigious Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle "Best World Premiere Play" Award for producing Del Shores' "Yellow". He has also produced and starred in major national tours alongside icons Rue McClanahan, Delta Burke, Caroline Rhea, and Georgette Jones.
Dottley's stage career began professionally in Terrence McNally's "Lisbon Traviata" in Los Angeles, where his performance was praised as "letter-perfect" by the LA Times. He went on to star in a nine-month run of "Sordid Lives" in Los Angeles, later reprising his role in the national tour, receiving widespread critical acclaim.
As Dottley looks to the future, he is set to film a feature titled "Husband-In-Law" in late summer, embark on a 40+ city tour with his first full-length one-man show "Life on the Gay-List", and release his fifth official single, a cover of Madonna's iconic love ballad "Crazy For You".
