Jason Hewitt, a native of Louisiana, embarked on a journey to transition from the technology industry to the film and television industry, marking a significant shift in his professional trajectory.
Hewitt's early foray into the Internet economy was a pioneering endeavour, as he founded the website creation and marketing management company Planet Symphony in 1994. This innovative venture garnered national attention in 1995 when it successfully staged the first-ever broadcast of live audio and video images of Mardi Gras from three different cities over the Internet.
Planet Symphony's remarkable achievement led to the company's subsequent separation into two distinct entities: Planet Symphony, which was acquired by the Graham Group in December 1995 for a sum of $250,000, and StarSeed, which was acquired by Geocities in December 1998 for a staggering $33 million.
Fast forward to 2005, Hewitt co-founded HK Pictures with partner George M. Kostuch, producing a string of feature films. Today, Hewitt continues to produce under his production banner, Films In Motion.
Beyond his entrepreneurial pursuits, Hewitt is a multifaceted individual who is equally passionate about music.
