Jason Martorino's odyssey in the realm of performance commenced at the tender age of sixteen, precipitated by the profound influence of his high school drama teacher, a seasoned veteran with extensive experience in both film and theatre. This serendipitous encounter served as a catalyst, igniting a passion within Martorino that would propel him towards a future filled with artistic expression.

Jason embarked on a five-year odyssey of artistic development, which ultimately unveiled his innate aptitude for belting out melodious tunes and bringing characters to life through his acting prowess. His repertoire included iconic works such as Shakespeare's timeless masterpiece, The Taming of the Shrew, alongside Coward's witty and sophisticated comedy, Present Laughter, the poignant and thought-provoking Crown Matrimonial by Ryton, and the witty and satirical The School For Wives by the renowned French playwright, Moliere.

Jason's extraordinary propensity for self-challenge propelled him to embark on an exciting adventure within the vibrant Toronto film and television industry, initially delving into the realm of commercials, public service announcements, and web series productions.

One of his earliest and most notable endeavors was the web series Posthuman, where he not only wrote and produced the project but also took on the starring role of the central character, Charlie Porter. This venture marked a reunion with fellow collaborator Lyndon Horsfall, with whom Jason would later co-direct the captivating music video Sundown for the esteemed band The Short Films.
