His thesis film, "eclipse", made a profound impact, premiering at the renowned Telluride Film Festival and subsequently winning the coveted "Top Prize" at the Student Academy Awards. This milestone achievement was followed by a remarkable digital restoration of the original 16mm negative by the Academy of Motion Pictures, a testament to the enduring significance of "eclipse".
Twenty years after its initial festival debut, a new digital cinema package (DCP) of "eclipse" was showcased at numerous prestigious film festivals, including the Long Beach Film Festival, the Phoenix Film Festival, and the HollyShorts Film Festival.
Since the release of "eclipse", Jason has directed two feature films, which have garnered numerous accolades and been showcased at festivals across America and the world. His second feature film, "Laura Smiles", was produced by RKO Pictures, premiered at the esteemed Tribeca Film Festival, and received a theatrical release courtesy of Emerging Pictures.
