Javier Solar, a seasoned director with a storied career, hails from Mexico City, where he earned his degree from the prestigious CCC Film School, graduating between 1996 and 2000. His remarkable journey in the film industry began in 2005, when he co-wrote and co-directed his debut feature film, "More than anything in the world". The cinematic masterpiece received widespread acclaim, boasting an impressive run at various film festivals, and ultimately, claiming top honors at the Guadalajara and Montreal Film Festivals.

In 2007, Javier Solar received the esteemed opportunity to direct "Los Simuladores", a series that garnered attention for its exceptional comedic value, earning a nomination for Best Comedy Series at the International Emmy Awards in 2010.

Fast-forward to 2018, Javier Solar once again showcased his exceptional directing skills, helming the TV series "El Vato II" for NBCUniverso. This notable achievement earned him the coveted International Emmy Award for Best Non-English US program, a testament to his remarkable talent and dedication to his craft.
