William Jason Reso, a Canadian professional wrestler and actor, has had a remarkable career spanning over two decades. Currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) under the ring name Christian Cage, he is an associate of the popular tag team, Jurassic Express.
Reso is best known for his tenure in WWE, where he performed under the ring name Christian from 1998 to 2005 and again from 2009 to 2014. During his time in WWE, he won numerous championships, including the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship, the European Championship, the Hardcore Championship, and the Intercontinental Championship.
Before joining WWE, Reso began his career in Canadian independent promotions, competing in singles and tag team matches alongside his friend Edge. In 1998, he signed a developmental contract with WWE and made his debut the following year, capturing the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship in his debut match.
Reso's tag team with Edge, known as Edge and Christian, gained notoriety for their participation in Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches. They won the World Tag Team Championship seven times before parting ways in 2001.
After leaving WWE in 2005, Reso signed with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA),where he performed under the ring name Christian Cage. During his time in TNA, he won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship twice.
Reso re-signed with WWE in 2009 and went on to win the ECW Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship twice each. He was the twenty-third Triple Crown Champion and eleventh Grand Slam Champion in WWE history.
In 2014, Reso retired from in-ring competition due to concussion issues. However, he made an unofficial comeback in June 2020 and appeared in the 2021 Royal Rumble match. Shortly after, he left WWE and signed with AEW, reverting to his Christian Cage moniker.
In AEW, Reso has won the Impact World Championship, making his return to Impact Wrestling for the first time since Slammiversary 10 in 2012. Throughout his career, Reso has headlined multiple pay-per-view events and is one of WWE's most prolific pay-per-view performers.
