In October 2010, a feature-length program of his recent work was exhibited for a week at the prestigious Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Notably, eight of his films have been featured at the Sundance Film Festival, while several others have been broadcast on prominent television networks such as HBO/Cinemax, the Independent Film Channel, and the Sundance Channel. Since 2010, Jay has served as the Program Director of the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, bringing his unique perspective and expertise to the organization. Prior to his career in film, Jay earned a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and worked as a therapist, applying his knowledge and skills to support individuals in need.
