Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen, affectionately known as JL, was born in the vibrant city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From a tender age of three, she has been captivating audiences with her impressive vocal and dancing skills, showcasing her talents on stage. Her first vocal performance in front of an audience was a rendition of Shirley Temple's iconic song "Animal Crackers," which marked the beginning of her remarkable journey.
Growing up, JL would often surprise people with her transformation from a shy child to a confident performer, effortlessly taking center stage with her microphone. This transformation was often triggered by the mere presence of a microphone, which would bring out her sassy personality and leave audiences in awe. As the youngest sibling of a family with a history of film acting, JL's passion for performance was nurtured from a young age.
In a remarkable turn of events, the producers of America's Got Talent discovered JL's exceptional singing voice at the tender age of four, amidst a pool of 48,000 talented young performers. She was subsequently selected to perform on their live TV show, where she left the celebrity judges and a large audience in awe with her incredible talent. Her performances have since taken her to new heights, with appearances in notable films and television shows.
Some of JL's notable roles include her lead appearance in the Focus Features film Self/Less, alongside Ryan Reynolds, Ben Kingsley, and other talented actors. She has also guest-starred on the popular TV series NCIS: New Orleans and starred in the Hallmark original movie Enchanted Christmas, opposite Carlos and Alexa PenaVega. In 2019, JL starred as Linda Cardellini's daughter, Sam, in Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema's The Curse of La Llorona, and booked and filmed a 20th Century Fox TV Pilot named Adam & Eve, playing the role of Beth.
