Biography

Jayson's illustrious career in the show business began in 1994, when he made his theatrical debut at the tender age of 22 in a production of "The Cherry Orchard" at Champlain College. This marked the start of his journey in the world of theater, with several notable performances to follow in the subsequent years.

However, his passion for music soon took center stage, and in 1997, he co-founded the band "C'est La Vie," which toured the vibrant Burlington bar scene as the lead singer. The following year, he started a new band called "Uncommon Tongue," self-producing and writing the band's debut album, "Following a Dream," and touring extensively in and around Burlington.

Jayson's foray into the world of film also began in 1998, when he landed a featured extra role in Edgewood Studios' production of "Moving Target." This marked the start of his journey in the film industry, which would soon become a significant aspect of his career.

The late 1990s saw Jayson oscillating between film, music, and theater, with his band "Uncommon Tongue" ultimately disbanding in May 1999 due to the departure of his bandmates. However, he continued to pursue his passion for music, and in August of that year, he played the score for the play "Charlie Chaplin is Wearing my Pants" at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland.

Jayson's return to Edinburgh in August 2000 was a notable one, as he appeared as a cast member in the play "Crooked." This marked the beginning of his association with Stoneworks Entertainment, which would go on to produce his first film production, "The Thrall of Cthulhu," in October 2000.

Jayson's love for film continued to grow, and in 2001, he became SAG eligible after landing a speaking role in Alen Jacobs' production of "American Gun," which starred Virginia Madsen and James Coburn. This experience inspired him to take his film acting skills to the next level, and he began taking classes with Jock Macdonald at Cameron Thor Studios East.

Jayson's time at Cameron Thor Studios East had a profound impact on his career, as it instilled in him the confidence to create his own film projects rather than waiting for opportunities to arise. This newfound sense of purpose led him to reinvigorate Stoneworks Entertainment, and in 2003, he co-wrote, directed, and starred in the film "Cthulhu Chronicles: Episode One, The Ropes."

Since then, Jayson has continued to hone his skills as a filmmaker, focusing on the editing process and producing a range of films, including the Star Wars fan film "Xill" and the horror movie "Project Hex."
