Jean-Pierre Bastid, a multifaceted French creative force, has left an indelible mark on the worlds of film and literature.

Following his studies at the prestigious Institut des hautes études cinématographiques (IDHEC),Bastid began his career as an assistant to the renowned Jean Cocteau on the iconic film Le Testament d'Orphée (1960). He would later go on to collaborate with the acclaimed director Nicholas Ray, further honing his craft.
