Jeff Probst is the acclaimed host of the Emmy Award-winning reality television series Survivor, which premiered in 2000. His impressive hosting skills earned him the inaugural Emmy for Best Reality Show Host in 2008 and again in 2009. Additionally, Probst received an Emmy as Host/Producer of Survivor in 2001.
Beyond his work in television, Probst has also made a name for himself in the film industry. He wrote and directed the LionsGate released indie film Finder's Fee, which premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival and won the "Best Picture" award. The film also received awards for "Best Director" and "Best Screenplay".
Probst's film, Finder's Fee, starred Ryan Reynolds and Academy Award nominees James Earl Jones and Robert Forster. The film was selected as one of the "Ten Directors in the World to Watch" in a series presented by the American Cinematheque, showcasing innovative and exciting new directors from around the world.
Before becoming a household name, Probst hosted various programs, including VH1's Rock & Roll Jeopardy!, FX's several programs, and Access Hollywood, where he traveled over 300,000 miles around the world as a correspondent. He also previously hosted a variety of shows for KIRO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Seattle.
Probst is also a radio personality, hosting the "Howard Stern Celebrity Fan Roundtable" on Sirius/XM radio and filling in for Regis Philbin on Live with Kelly and Mark.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Probst is a dedicated philanthropist. In 2007, he founded The Serpentine Project, a non-profit organization that empowers youth transitioning out of foster care to reach for their dreams by opening the door to possibilities.
