Jen Araki was born in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, and at the tender age of 13, she was signed with Elite Model Management, California, marking the beginning of her illustrious career. With her mother by her side, Jen spent her summer holidays traveling the world, immersing herself in new cultures and broadening her horizons, which had a profound impact on her personal growth and maturity.
After completing her high school education, Jen made the bold decision to move to New York City to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. To support herself, she joined Ford Models while simultaneously studying acting at the New York Film Academy and later honed her craft at Mesiner Conservatory, under the guidance of renowned instructors Nina Murano and Alexander Neil.
Throughout her career, Jen has appeared in numerous television shows, including notable roles in "Sopranos" alongside James Gandolfini and "Royal Pains" with Henry Winkler, as well as independent films and theatre productions.
Recently, Jen has worked on HBO Canada's show "Good Dog," the independent film "Red Butterfly," and a lead role in the feature film thriller "Kill Her Not Me." Her passion for filmmaking has also led her to establish her own production company, Broken Tree Productions, which aims to create content that fosters social change and cultivates a better world.
Jen has directed and produced a feature-length documentary, "We Gotta Get Out of Here," which tells the poignant story of five youth struggling to overcome adversity as they navigate the foster care system in Los Angeles. She is currently in pre-production for her next documentary project, "They Call Me Superman," which chronicles the inspiring life of Manuel Jimenez, a boxing coach at Wild Card Boxing in Los Angeles, who has dedicated his life to helping others.
When not working on set, Jen dedicates her free time to giving back to the community, making it an integral part of her life. She currently resides between Los Angeles and Vancouver, and is grateful and humbled every day to be doing what she loves most.
